Pomona Valley Sports Medicine specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals of all genders, ages, and abilities. Our physicians have experience in treating the elderly, pediatrics, pro-athletes, college athletes, high school athletes, and the weekend warrior. We believe in using a variety of non-invasive treatment techniques, imaging modalities and rehabilitation protocols to enhance our patient's abilities to return to pain free lifestyle, sooner and more efficiently.

Sports Medicine trained physicians will work to get you back to pain free activity so you can achieve your goals. Whether it be an acute injury, nagging injury, arthritis, fracture, chronic pain, or any other pain, we'll get you better fast.  Our goal is to get the patient to return to a healthy, pain free lifestyle as soon as possible.

 Dr. Jeff Ijadi, M.D., CAQSM

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr.  Jeff Ijadi is board certified in Family and Sports Medicine.  Dr. Ijadi is a member of American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM) and serves as faculty at Pomona Valley Family Residency Program.

Dr. Ijadi attended UCLA where he received his Bachelors of Science in Psycho-Biology and Minor in Education. Following UCLA, Dr. Ijadi attended AUC School of Medicine.  He subsequently completed his residency training and board certification in family medicine at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, affiliated with UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine.  Following his family residency, Dr. Ijadi completed his fellowship training in the field of Sports Medicine through the Evergreen Sports Medicine Fellowship Program.

Dr. Ijadi has treated numerous athletes of all levels from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete.  He currently serves as the medical director & head team physician for the AC Clippers pro-basketball team in Ontario California.  He also serves as head team physician for Cal Poly Pomona, Life Pacific University,  Azusa Pacific University, Mt SAC and Pomona Pitzer Colleges.  He is the current director of the sports medicine rotation at the Pomona Valley Family residency program where he teaches the next generation of doctors non invasive orthopedics and sports medicine.

Dr. Ijadi specializes in non surgical orthopedics, arthritis management, joint injections, acute/chronic injuries, sports injuries, Platelet rich plasma injections, rehabilitation protocols, concussion management, ultrasound guided injections, exercise prescriptions, fracture care/casting, and injury prevention.  He treats injuries and joint pain of all ages including pro-athletes, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.

Hahn Larson, DO, CAQSM

Dr. Larson attended UCLA for her undergraduate studies and Western University of Health Sciences for medical school.  She then went on to complete her family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Fontana. She is board certified in family medicine and fellowship trained in sports medicine and will be treating patients at our Claremont office.  Dr. Larson serves as the team physician for Diamond Ranch high school.  "As a physician I believe the best medicine is prevention through education making healthy lifestyle choices, and that definitely includes exercise. As an avid ultra marathoner and triathlete, my goal is to inspire my patients to pursue their passion and getting back from injury as quickly as possible."

Dr. Shah is a board-certified family medicine physician who specializes in primary care sports medicine. His goal is to get patients and athletes back to their active lifestyles as quickly and safely as possible.

His unique training and extensive hands-on experience allow him to support patients of all ages and athletic abilities. Dr. Shah is particularly interested in ultrasound-guided injections and primary care concerns for athletes. With both his personal and professional sports background, he offers a unique perspective in treating athletes at all levels.

Prior to joining Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, he served as assistant team physician for several professional organizations including Baylor University Bears (NCAA Division 1, Big 12 Conference), Ontario Reign (AHL), and AC Clippers (NBA G-League). He has also been a team physician for a variety of colleges and high schools and has extensive experience with mass sporting events.

In his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys playing recreational sports, spending quality time with family and friends, and watching his favorite Bay Area sports teams!
